@Mastodon I’m trying to add another account and on the web it’s giving me crap about blocking cookies…like of course I’m blocking #cookies. In the #mastonaut desktop app when I select said #secondaccount it gives me an all black screen. The account was created through web browser and everything was verified. Any thoughts?
Half a year in, finally getting close to shipping this.
It’s always funny to me which parts are hard and which ones aren’t. Spent a ton of work figuring out drag & drop in NSCollectionView, and autolayout trouble (agaaaaaain). Things like the animations, though? Easy-peasy.
#Mastonaut 1.9.1 fixes an issue in 1.9 where you could no longer click to enlarge images or videos.

#Mastonaut 1.9, a macOS Mastodon client, is out!
This is mostly a behind-the-scenes update. But aside from minor fixes 🐞, it does add:
✔ pull-to-refresh now works within threads
✔ you can now navigate to the profiles of people who favorited or boosted a toot, or who are follows or followers of someone
Never mind, it doesn’t seem to be picking up my bookmarks at all. I’m using the app from the App Store, btw.

#Mastonaut 1.8, a macOS Mastodon client, is out! This version adds
✔ swipe gestures for toots,
✔ autocompletion for emoji (try typing :cat),
✔ some help,
✔ the ability to have multiple compose windows at once,
✔ the option to show very long toots directly in the timeline,
🍷 preliminary support for macOS Sonoma, and
🐞 a bunch of bug fixes.

@rich Now that’s a cool post, it renders perfectly in #icecubes but the images do not appear in #mastonaut. And this should appear as a #comment in #wordpress which is pretty cool!

In web masto-fe, in Preferences set "Advanced UI", then back in the main screen, search #WWDC23 or whatever, hit the 3 seashells, +Pin, and you have a permanent feed of that hashtag.
Mastonaut: Teeny little search icon, same thing. I'm not sure what the two column icons are. Bookmark and some mystery meat box with X. <?>
Tusker: Add hashtag, three dots, Save Hashtag. You have to manually open it.
#Mastonaut 1.7 High Sierra Edition offers some of the features of 1.4 through 1.7, but for people on macOS 10.13 High Sierra through 11.0 Big Sur.
Compared to the App Store release, 1.7 HSE lets you edit posts and view edit history, shows interaction counts, opens linked toots in the app, supports non-default character limits, lets you view your favorites and bookmarks, and search for toots, adds pull-to-refresh, and lets you view lists.
