I was watching #Dredd with a buddy last night. We were thinking it would be cool if they made another movie showing Dredd's earlier life and as a rookie. It would be interesting to see what training to be a Judge is like.

So yeah, I'm now on to Geoff Barrow & Ben Salisbury's Dredd soundtrack that never was, 'Drokk (Music Inspired By Mega-City One)'. It's a very different vibe to the Dredd soundtrack we finally got; where that one is all grungy guitars and quite industrial sounding, this is Carpenter-esque vintage synths. They both have the same kind of extremely stretched sounds forming parts of the albums so I guess the slo-mo thing was in the script early on in Dredd's production.

Wood Green. The alien vessel moored at the end of this suburban street is Wood Green Crown Court. The original Victorian Gothic revival facade remains, but this view shows the late 20th century element. I haven't been able to find the name of the architects for the most recent phase, but it is safe to say that they were fans of Judge Dredd. This building is designed to inspire fear in wrongdoers and rightdoers alike. #megacityone #london #woodgreen #crowncourt
View down a late Victorian street of terraced houses. Closest, a light blue hire van is parked, facing away, on the left. Telephone cables stretch across between wooden poles on either side, and radiate out to each house. At the far end of the street, beyond the houses, is an immense dark grey roof, made from many different planes, three times the height of a the houses, and eight times as wide. Two glass towers (lift shafts?) rise from the edges of the roof. A faceted glass cupola tops the construction.

Judge Dredd should never have been a live action film, ever.

Dredd should only have ever been done by a high quality Anime studio.

As much as the film Dredd with Karl Urban is 'good', its just a rehash of the Raid and showing news footage of some South American riot is not Mega City One.
Only an Anime would truly do Dredd and the Mega City environment justice.
Only an anime could bring Judge Death to life

One of the first boardgames I bought myself (in 1982), Rebellion Unplugged have re-released Sir Ian Livingstone’s iconic game of crime-fighting in Mega-City One: !
Leaping from the pages of , to say I’ve had massive fun playing this for the past 40 years would be an understatement so I’m looking forward to discovering this new revised & expanded edition.
