I have a #Huawei E5573c #MiFi Hotspot that works well as a network device, without any additional drivers, when I connect it to a Linux PC. However, when I connect it to a #FritzBox as a upstream modem, it will immediately loose its mobile connection and say "No connection". The FritzBox sees the device and the USB communication seems to work – but the mobile connection cuts out, when it's connected to the FB. Any ideas? Is this a provider setting?

12/24/2024: The Best Wi-Fi Hotspot, Wirecutter
We, meaning I, shouldn’t have let this guide get this stale–it had received its last modest update back in May of 2022. But first I had to update Wirecutter’s phone-plans guide, and having that work remind me of how much mobile-hotspot data comes with so many new smartphone plans then enlightened me about how many customers should not feel compelled to spend extra on this class of devices. Hence the lede of this revision, suggesting that the best hotspot for most people would be none of the below: “You probably don’t need a dedicated Wi-Fi hotspot.”

I'm currently working on a project with the `FY_UZ801_V3.2` #MIFI Stick based on the #Snapdragon 410 (#MSM8916) and am now stuck with #modem problems
The board came with android preinstalled.
I then flashed #OpenWrt on it and configured the modem using the 5 modem partitions I dumped earlier with #EDL
That worked well, but then I recognized that the modem is not able to alter the modemst1 and modemst2 partitions after flashing WRT
Has anybody an idea how to fix this?
Maybe @revskills or @cas?
Do dedicated #MiFi devices have better signal than your iPhone 15 in areas where you get 1 or 2 bars signal or will the signal be the same? Anyone have experience of this?

Mobile #5G Router, auch #Mifi oder #PocketWifi genannt, sind immer noch extrem teuer. Mein #Netgear #4G Router nervt mich zusehends mehr, immer wenn der lädt und schlechten Empfang hat wir das Ding zu heiß und hört dann auf zu laden. Dann muss ich nach abkühlen immer wieder das Ladekabel aus- und wieder einstecken, damit es dann wieder anfängt zu laden.
