Huh. #OpenWrt just...stopped sending IPv4 DNS options in DHCP out a while ago. That might explain a few things.
It'd be nice if I was actually notified when things were fucky on my network.

So I tried out technetium on recommendation . Despite my better judgement of having to schlep in the dotnet sdk on my openwrt build. Only to discover that it doesn't implement IPV6 Dhcp at all and also doesn't allow chaining to an existing dhcpv6 server... Still boggles my mind how a project can get positive reviews and miss something so integral as v6 in this day and age #ipv6 #openwrt https://github.com/TechnitiumSoftware/DnsServer/issues/265

I also just started using #Navidrome on my #OpenWrt soft router about 4 months ago, and it's been a great experience for me on basically every device with different OS.
I mostly use the web client, except on Android phone where I use the CappielloAntonio / #tempo client.

"Why isn't tailscale connected on my OpenWRT anymore".
Because I didn't see that /var/ is symlinked to /tmp/, which is fucking tmpfs.
i.e. the tailscale config/state is erased after reboot.

Me llegó este juguetito. Cuando tenga tiempo le instalo OpenWRT y de ahí lo configuro para reemplazar mi router actual.
Sweet. Updating my Unifi AP from #OpenWRT 23.05 -> 24.10.1 was simple and robust 🤓. All settings remained. If you have only one AP, it's much lighter to manage with openwrt than unifi controller.
@mikrotik@mikrotik.social @mikrotik@lemmy.world good to know. #unplugtrump I already switched my home installation from Unifi to Mikrotik a while ago. RB5900 and a cloud smart switch working really fine. Only my wifi APs are still Asus (with #openWRT) because you were late to the wifi6 party 😉
