Six years ago, @laureola and I went to LA to visit Michael Doret and his wife Laura Smith, and pick up the part of his archive that is now at @letterformarchive. (The other part went to @lubalincenter, thanks to sorting assistance from @nicksherman.)
Spending time with Michael and his work was magical. I didn’t know then if it would become a book, but I sure hoped it would.
