My current kit has rounds molded inside the drum magazine, so I just had to slap some Gundam marker on them.

I went into this kit expecting extra work, but the result was worth it. It even came with an extra shield (from the Unicorn mode?). I do wish it came with some basic beams for the sabers and tonfas, though.

Finally figured something out for pictures, just in time to finish another Aerial.

This kit is super fun. The strange proportions highlight a lot of what I like about the original design, and the eyes are absolutely wild. The permet could stand out more, but I appreciate that I can swap between red and blue.

Mentioned in previous post, but Meltina arrived last night so I can now show both. I put a hold on my Shattered Glass Optimus Prime build and going to switch over to building these before Year of the Snake ends. I dont plan on changing Samaels colour scheme, but I have ideas for Meltina.

Next Model kit on the docket is this version of Optimus Prime, which I plan to repaint into Shattered Glass Optimus Prime(Because I loke the colour scheme more and it will be fun)

So I will call this a successful repaint and also a redemption from botching the mini Gourai model awhile back. This was really fun to do and learned a lot as I worked through the process. Tried to do a little wear on the armour too.
I wish I took a better "Before" photo, but I think it's clear enough.

I’ve been very obsessive with this endeavor, but I’m very happy with the results. I now have 3 different skin tones I can consistently mix and use for my model kits now. I’m going to get some extra paints so I can make some premixed bottles later.

While recalibrating my monitor this holiday weekend I figured I’d take a second crack at making a dark skin tone again before I do it on certain models. It’s one thing to practice on a spoon, but another to do it on an actual thing. The left was painted model and the right are two for comparison.

More work done on the Red Tail today. I did a panel liner on the top and weathering on and around the exhaust. I also added a couple of oil and fuel stains her and there.

It's been a really hectic and stressful past few week. Finished helping family for today so I made a big jug of hot chocolate and I'm going to work on a kit in my backlog. This kit seems fitting for the mood I hope I can achieve this weekend after...all the stuff that's been going on.
