Lá Fhéile an Mháthair Sona - Happy Mother's Day
Happy Mother's Day to all the great Mammys. We would be lost without your love and support throughout the year.
Thinking of all the Mammies who are no longer with us today.
Me, when I see badly parked cars. This one is especially ironic! 😂
Last month I spoke at merrionstreet.ie Shared Island Initiative at Aviva Stadium in Dublin.
I spoke about what a shared Island approach could mean to deaf and disabled people on the island. Covering topics such as health, housing, public transport and social inclusion.
Also speaking were SpunOut.ie, National Economic and Social Council and Rialto Youth Project.
I was delighted to hear the Disabled People's Parliament mentioned in Northern Ireland Assembly yesterday by Stewart Dickson MLA at the restoration of the Northern Ireland Executive at Stormont.
Alex Maskey was a great support in setting up this Parliament for deaf and disabled people as Speaker, and I hope Edwin Poots MLA will continue this forward.
This morning I spoke on BBC Radio Foyle's North West Today about the restoration of Northern Ireland Executive and what the incoming Department of Health Minister needs to address for deaf and disabled people.
Making tea as a disabled person in 2024
As a 3ft wheelchair user, I find it increasingly difficult to make tea. both restrictively and safely. so I brought a water water dispenser.
This Friday, I will be attending Department of the Taoiseach's Shared Island Initiative event in Dublin.
The Irish Government’s Shared Island initiative aims to harness the full potential of the Good Friday Agreement to enhance cooperation, connection and mutual understanding on the island and engage with all communities and traditions to build consensus around a shared future.

Happy World Braille Day from My Way Access
World Braille Day is a reminder of the importance of accessibility and independence for people who are blind or visually impaired.
We celebrate World Braille Day every year on January 4th because it’s Louis Braille’s birthday. He’s the inventor of braille!
1st January 2024
Steamboat Willy, the original Mickey Mouse, is now in the public domain for free use.
Wouldn't be great to see Steam Wheelchair Willy, a powerful disabled advocate, being recreated to educate children on disability rights and remove ableism from their young minds.
Happy New Year to all the followers at My Way Access.
No video round up this year. Whilst it had some incredible highlights, it has also been a difficult year for numerous reasons.
I hope everyone's 2024 is blessed with happiness, success and good health.
The new game starts soon!

Wishing you happiness and peace over the Christmas and New Year holiday period.
Thank you for all the support and encouragement you have shown me over 2023.
My interview with Stephen Nolan on BBC Radio 5 live, as I discuss with Sunny Hundal the content of Ricky Gervais new Netflix special "Armageddon".
Are all forms of comedy "freedom of speech" or does it come with responsibility?
The UK Government has scrapped the Minister of State for Disabled People.
I don't recall anything they did positive for deaf and disabled people, but the optics alone are alarming.
We are not important.
We do not matter.
We are alone.
Mark my word, we'll be sent to Rwanda eventually.
