Just finished #Neofeud by @silverspookgames !

I don't normally play point and click adventure games, but I found the graphical style of this one interesting, so I bought it.
Neofeud has good music, rememberable characters and almost too many cultural references. It hooked me with its unique setting, fleshed-out lore and a refreshing story with twists. It was an entertaining 10 hours and now I am waiting for Neofeud 2.

I first saw it here on Mastodon, I followed the developer as I was intrigued by the visuals. I added it to my wishlist some time ago and now finally bought it.
There's so much to play at the moment but I hope I will get round it soon.

Having some kind of problem playing #neofeud under Proton. It lets me start it one or two times, then stops working. So I copied my saves into Wine and that seems to be fine (crosses fingers)

It's incredibly cool to be a social worker in a cyberpunk dystopia, and have to finagle your way around your human-biased checklist so that a robot family gets to keep their kids.

"Access to clean water? Yes/No"

The robots don't need water, they have an oil dispenser.

"Yes"

Finally got around to playing through #NeoFeud by @silverspookgames

I think the biggest compliment I can give it is that it hooked me right away and left me wanting more. Played through it in one evening until 2am!

It's a fantastic game that captures everything that makes speculative fiction so good. Clearly inspired by our awful technofeudalist nightmare, the game extrapolates what our future could look like given some fictional technologies that, surprisingly, end up feeling very grounded because they exist in a world with a lot of the same struggles and pains of contemporary life. Despite this, the game doesn't feel depressing or hopeless. The humor helps give the characters life and makes it feel unique, without making the game feel silly or goofy. It makes the game feel earnest, and makes it feel like it understands that things look and feel bleak, but that it does not mean we should give up.

I hadn't played a point-and-click adventure game in a long time, making the game feel very refreshing. It has enough rough edges that it gives the game personality, while not making it impossible to finish or creating a sense of frustration. The puzzles still require some thinking and for you to pay attention, which felt rewarding. The soundtrack is also a big highlight of the experience, enhancing the tone of every scene.

I highly recommend picking it up and being on the lookout for the sequel!
