Was so, so good to hear not only so many of the presenters giving land acknowledgements, but several giving space to what to _do_ as well.
Also, giving trigger/content warnings where needed.

This whole session on being autistic as a manager is totally relatable, even though I've got PTSD. There's so, so much overlap in neurodiverse experiences in the world, even when the specifics of our diversities are quite different.
The passive agressiveness of librarianship as coming out of white supremacist culture's emphasis on perfectionism, sense of urgency, and worship of the written word.
Sometimes our neurodiverse selves have strengths that play into that culture so we get "rewarded" with things like management positions, but we also can end up ostracised because of it. Or, being perceived as passive aggressive because that's how the other person operates.

Don’t ask about gaps in resumes. The explanation might touch on disabilities and/or difficult times in a person’s life. (Protected classes frequently have employment difficulties.)

Definitely bookmarking the #Copyright Decision Tree for later use! https://library.mtroyal.ca/ld.php?content_id=36777776 #NeuroGLAM2023
I had someone afraid to use and cite encyclopedia entries the other day because they thought copyright law was going to come down on their head. Copyright chill is so real #NeuroGLAM2023
I've seen paintings texturized and 3D printed at an art gallery before and it was great to interact with even as a sighted patron #NeuroGLAM2023
For museums, 3D printed models are much cheaper and faster to produce than earlier replicas were. Handling artefacts can help peope understand how an object worked.
Can also provide a tactile focus in a space that might otherwise be difficult (too bright, for example).
Happy to learn there's a whole database of #accommodations to help you ask for what you need to succeed at work! https://askjan.org/soar.cfm #NeuroGLAM2023

Neuro-GLAM-orous Canada emerged from the success and elevated feelings around the Ontario College and University Library Association’s 2022 Neurodiversity in the Library conference when it was seen just how badly there needs to be a place for neurodivergent GLAM workers in Canada to share their interests, experiences, research, and support.
