Alright #Libraries and #Archives peeps:

I bought a book recently, new, that has a really strong smell. Like, a mix of ink and exhaust fumes or something. I didn't realize until I got it home.

It is surprisingly strong and even gets on to my hands. And it hasn't really dissipated at all, even though I've been actively reading it and flipping through its pages regularly.

What's the easiest way to try and de-smell this book? It's a paperback, but pretty thick and heavy.

#Cejourlà il y a 20 ans, je venais pour la première fois aux Archives nationales. Il y avait un peu la queue à l'entrée. La carte de lecteur.ice était payante. Et je me souviens avoir été un peu perdue une fois en salle des (centaines) d'inventaires. Sans compter que ce que je voulais était en consultation différée, donc j'ai eu le plaisir de revenir le lendemain !
Et 10 ans après pour y travailler (j'aurais bien ri si on me l'avait dit alors...)
