I replayed #NeverwinterNights recently and something struck me.
Why was #Paladin changed from a WIZ caster to a CHA caster in #DND #5E ?

Except for their class features, all their spells come from the cleric spell list anyway - who are WIZ casters, it makes cleric/paladin multi class clunky and overly M.A.D.

And I'm not even sure it really fits the archetypes - paladin's are meant to be fierce holy warriors, not charmers.

An ability to add your WIZ modifier to an intimidation check would have been a better way to let them avoid conflicts maybe ?

Am I missing something ?
