King 5 and other sources are reporting that hedge-fund manager Brian Heywood, a.k.a. New Wealthier Tim Eyman, has launched two anti-trans legislative initiatives for 2026. Both target trans children and teens.

The plan, if it's not obvious, is to force the legislature to take it up, have a debate, and either pass it or send it to a popular vote in November 2026.

That'll keep it in the news much of the year, which is the intent, because the strategic point - other than beating up on trans children, one of their favourite games - is to spend the entire year hammering on trans people to ramp up right-wing rage and raise rightist election turnout in '26.
