#yegBike report: Really messy out there, the snowpack has softened and most MUPs and SUPs outside the valley are uncleared.

Funicular is running but elevator is not.

103 Street and 100 Ave lanes cleared but also messy, especially crossing alleys.

Overall not a really fun ride.

It was a sparse #CoffeeOutside this morning, probably because it's -20C (-33C with a 24kph windchill) and still a lot of uncleared paths and now snow drifts as well, but I'm glad I did it anyway!

#yegBike report: Residential streets mostly packed snow, just a few snirty patches. Paths clear and smooth from Strathearn Drive to the LLB & funicular. Funicular and elevator are both running (yay!).

Downtown streets are a bit slushy and snirty but manageable. 100 Ave path was good and cleared at least to 106 Street.

Cold windy, getting colder, but overall not a terrible ride!

#yegBike report: Snowy, but it's a light snow. Still a slog, though, ended up taking the LRT to downtown.

100 Ave cycle track was cleared just now, 102 Ave was partly cleared earlier. 103 St was not cleared and in fact I'm pretty sure most property owners have pushed snow into it, so beware. 106 St also not cleared.

Be safe, folks, no matter how you're getting around!

#yegBike report: Cool but calm; inversion is still lingering and particulates along with it. 😷

Streets and paths mostly clear, a few icy patches but got by without studs another morning.

Avoid the path along the ski hill, though; snow machines are going full bore and creating accumulations. They are sweeping it a couple times a day, but it's hit and miss when.

Funicular is running, but elevator still down. Time to write #yegCC again.

Frazilpans are gloming.

#yegBike report: Thin layer of snow but it gives way to some icy patches in some spots. Unpleasant wind, but otherwise a decent morning.

My own winter bike is feeling a bit clunky this morning, probably should have given it a bit more of a tuneup and test ride first.

Not being facetious, either, we're a winter city and I'm glad we're taking that to mean "we can still do stuff outside in winter*" as opposed to the "we must hunker down inside until it blows over" strategy we've maintained up until recently.

*Including biking, which is why I wanted some visibility at the event!
