#Norrington

I was hoping there'd be a "Nothing I'd lament being rid of" quote post about Commodore (Admiral?) James Norrington somewhere around here... but I couldn't find any posts at all tagged with any combination of his name on 2 instances now.

Disappointing, and to be fixed.

I’ve recently been listening to the symphonies from 1951 & 1952. I've not heard these in years, so I was surprised at how much I disliked them. It was a lot like listening to . It's all like Newton's first law of motion: an object moving in a straight line at a constant velocity staying forever in a straight line at the same speed. A marble statue has more flexibility.

Why do 's recordings of symphonies often sound like he hates the music?

FWIW, I feel the same way about and a number of others.
