@atomicpoet However one related idea that caught my interest was #OpenDime https://opendime.com/ , a sort of locked cryptocurrency wallet that could be verified and passed anonymously from person to person like a fungible bearer bond. Although it seemed to mitigate some of the problems with cryptocurrency, even this technically intriguing idea probably can't make up for all the failings of the field.
