President Donald Trump said he will rename Veterans Day as “Victory Day for World War I” as a way for the country to celebrate its military victories.In a late-night post on Truth Social, Trump said that in addition to the Nov. 11 federal holiday, he was also going to rename May 8, a day widely celebrated as V-E Day, for Victory in Europe Day, as “Victory Day for World War II.”“We won both Wars, nobody was close to us in terms of strength, bravery, or military brilliance, but we never celebrate anything — That’s because we don’t have leaders anymore, that know how to do so! We are going to start celebrating our victories again!”Because who wants to just celebrate people (who served honorably) if they didn't even win.

My boss just told me I'm now expected to do the job of two GS-14s. I told them I'm okay with doing the work for a little bit during the transition.

But I asked to receive a grade increase if I'm expected to take on the work of not only someone who is a HIGHER grade than me, but TWO! They said they aren't allowed to process any PARs and if a position did come available someone with ICTAP would have preference over me for 2 years.WTF... WHAT DO?If I refuse, our org literally fails and goes under. If I accept, then I legitamize the torture. Wtf.

I'm reading up on the whole Reddit "Change My View" AI experiment.
It's striking to me how often the researchers use the adjective "ethical" in their responses. But reading the passages, it seems to me they just ethically inserted "ethical" into their ethical statements to shift the ethical conversation from a conversation about ethics to an ethical conversation where "ethical" becomes a meaningless ethical buzzword.
