Hey, internet! I made an ugly yarn and I couldn't be happier!
It's been thirty something years since I last touched my spinning wheel and I am here to report it's not quite like riding a bike but it does come back slowly.
I thought I was over spinning the single but now I think maybe I was underspinning it? At any rate, the next goal is to get my drafting much more even.
For a Christmas present my mum restored my flute that is about 30 years old. I have not played it for over 30 years and my attempts today has shown me that I am back to the very basic level of trying the remember to play the notes. The other photograph are of a flute book that I just happen to be on the cover. I’m in the turquoise rugby shirt. I had only being playing for a few weeks. I’m at about the same level today. I just need to practice and be patient #flute #oldhobbies
