The build I had compiled of the #NP2kai #emulator some years back finally started showing its age. With how much me and my computer then struggled to compile it, I was dreading to do it again, but to my surprise, the compiling process has become much better since! May even try a few other settings, see if I can get the context menus again.
Also tested some random #PC98 game I've been meaning to play, and with this new build, now it gets past the logos and into to the screen below! =D

You know that meme "thing vs thing but Japan"?
Yesterday I finally managed to run ancient #NetHack version for #PC98
That one version that had printed manual, background music and title screens. Nothing exceptional about that old NetHack version itself but I am happy to finally experience this part of the game history.
Reverse engineered another image file format, which was used in True Love (#pc98) and a handful of other games. Made an encoder too, so you can insert modified graphics in the game. Hopefully this power will be used responsibly.
