Report on the #Jeep #WK with the new #PCM, a few days in, after swap.
So far, so good. Most of the modules that had not been prodded yet, have reported in green. Only one I haven't put enough mileage/heat on is EVAP(orator, part of newer emissions control), but I have little doubt it will follow suit of every other.
See, there is an underlying logic to this world - thank you, Brother William and Adso - derived from observing what we call thermodynamics and electromagnetism, atomic forces, etc. When circumstances cease or seem to cease complying, neurosis pops up. World ought to make sense but doesn't. I approach fixing vehicles (complex systems that happen to go around) much like diagnosticians and surgeons deal the human body. Systems depend on chemical interactions, E/M fields, structural resistance to certain forces, etc etc. When a complex network of sensors (could call them neurons) acts up, you apply the rules of their design to it. If NEARLY EVERYTHING IS REPORTED TO BE FAILING OR CONKING OUT, the fault is likely with the system monitoring and managing them. Further defined and focused if you go to systems reported failing and realize they are doing ok, and you even make SURE (full flush with hands on, etc) they ARE, indeed, ok. Then you TEST systems, to their expected performance. If they deliver and work, but still reported going bonkers, your sensors and/or management system is the one gone bonkers. In a CAN equipped vehicle, the main control module. Were this a person, you'd look into the basement of the brain, to see wtf went clonk.
Anyways, everything seems to work as it should. Yeay!
Seriously needed this to work out, for the world to make sense, again.
