Je viens de découvrir qu'à partir du 1er janvier 2026 en #Belgique on devra obligatoirement facturer électroniquement selon un format/protocole donné : #Peppol. Je ne connais pas les dates pour les autres pays européens.
J'ai un peu cherché pour une solution standalone open-source, et je n'ai rien trouvé.
Si vous êtes #indépendant belge ou #PME, avez vous trouvé QQ chose de simple, non lié, idéalement OSS ?

They have a free plan, but it's not clear if this supports peppol, or if you have to pay to use peppol?
The more I read about this #PEPPOL e-invoicing stuff, the more I want to strangle someone. It'll be mandatory for business-to-business invoices in Belgium soon, it's a closed network, only "certified" software can access it, providers have to pay to use the network.
Who the fuck was bribed to make this happen? This is going back in time and saying invoices can only be delivered by the national mail man using a national stamp.
This will break every small business' invoicing flow.

The EU will require PEPPOL invoicing BS soon - starting January 2026 in Belgium, apparently.
I currently use Zoho Invoice to create all my invoices & keep track of payment & expenses for my business (sole proprietorship / side gig teaching yoga & not making that much money). Zoho Invoice is **free** to use for me (few invoices per year).
I cannot find anything about Zoho being compliant with this PEPPOL bs, and being that it is just me and I like things just so, I would like to have enough time to transition to a new software if I need to.
Anyway, my question: which low cost invoicing software comply with PEPPOL? In which I can also track expenses, and create invoices that look the way I want them to look?

Eerste e-timecard via Peppol verstuurd
Nadat de Nederlandse Peppolautoriteit (NPa) en standaardisatieorganisatie SETU in mei een samenwerkingsovereenkomst tekenden, is nu de eerste e-timecard verstuurd via Peppol. Als onderdeel van een test verzond de Belastingdienst tijdens het OpenPeppol-congres in Brussel de eerste e-timecard via het Peppol-netwerk aan uitzendorganisatie Randstad. Deze wereldwijde primeur kon onder andere gerealiseerd worden doordat Peppol-serviceproviders in Nederland een ISO 27001-certificering voor informatiebeveiliging hebben. De uitzendbranche kan nu e-timecards via Peppol gaan inzetten.
SETU-formaat
Uitzendorganisaties onderkennen net als bedrijven in andere sectoren de grote voordelen van digitalisering. Daarom heeft de uitzendbranche een eigen digitale berichtenstandaard voor de logistiek rond uitzendwerk. Deze SETU-standaard bestaat uit berichtsoorten die het uitzendproces stroomlijnen. Denk hierbij behalve aan e-timecards bijvoorbeeld aan berichten om cv’s uit te wisselen. Door de inzet van Peppol neemt het aantal organisaties dat SETU-berichten kan verzenden en ontvangen sterk toe.
Toegang voor bedrijven en overheden
De Rijksoverheid gebruikt Peppol al voor inkomende e-facturen en in toenemende mate ook voor uitgaande digitale berichten zoals e-orders. Dankzij de toevoeging van de SETU-standaard aan het Peppol-netwerk, kan het Rijk als inhuurder van uitzendkrachten deze standaard nu ook gebruiken. Ook bedrijven en overheden buiten het Rijk die het Peppol-netwerk gebruiken, hebben toegang tot deze mogelijkheid.

Sinds medio maart 2024 hebben 85 rijksorganisaties de mogelijkheid om moeiteloos e-orders te verzenden naar hun leverancier Topgeschenken via Peppol. Met deze ontwikkeling laat de Rijksoverheid zien hoe belangrijk zij digitaal zakendoen via Peppol vindt voor het Rijk, medeoverheden en bedrijven.

From 2026 on, Belgian companies will have to send structured electronic invoices (#PEPPOL). From the limited information I can find, this looks like an XML file, but the information is sparse. Are there any fediverse experts that can help me find the right information?
