Now that #planetscale removed the free plan I'll most probably #selfhost my #mysql database with docker. Apart for configuring backup and saving it to different loccations, do you have any other advice to configure it better?

I'm currently processing being laid off on my last day of vacation in the Denver airport after a great five days in the mountains.
I am still figuring out what I want to do after 2.5 years at #PlanetScale (and 8 years of startup DevRel), but at this point I will probably explore a wide range of roles in developer relations, product, and developer marketing.

Combine this with the great tips from Tobias Petry (https://sqlfordevs.com/) about #PostgreSQL, #MariaDB and MySQL and you gain a sound understanding of modern #RDBMS these days.
Especially Tobias' tips showing MySQL and PostgreSQL solutions side by side (where possible) are of great value.
