Last week a friend of mine posed the following question in a press conference, and was literally thrown out of the room.
I know it's a very #politicallyincorrect #question (eventually dangerous?) but I cannot resist to put it here and see what happens.

"What would the U.S. central government do if one of its states, say Texas just as an example, started a fight for its independence?"

P.S.: I'm not going to say the name of my friend because IMO she already has enough problems.

The New Censorship

As much as we might think that the Internet has increased information freedom, so called cancel culture has ushered in a new era of self-entitled censorship. Censorship applied to ideas that are important to be discussed, regardless of your particular opinion.

Censorship regarding issues, or censorship regarding people who are being harmed physically, abused physically, or censorship regarding some issues that results in cancel culture creeps shutting down, banning, or deleting without conscience.

This is the opposite of healthy. This is the opposite of a progressive culture. This is the opposite of freedom, the opposite tolerance, and the opposite of intelligence.

Censorship, by the name of cancel-culture or any other pseudonym, is ignorant, self-entitled, immature, and apparently largely accepted as the present practice among Millennials and GenZ.

And, with history as our guide, it will be their doom.

There is no right to not be offended.
