@tante The problem is #PowerAsymetry:

Even if a corporation is engaging in blatant copyright violations [which AI/ML isn't but I'm not talking about that here, as @senficon has done so long ago: felixreda.eu/2021/07/github-co ] the one who's rights have been violated has to invest time, money and lawyer up.

And they'll most likely not even see a reimbursement of costs.

The fact that #Corporations can just bail out with a #fine when they intentionally violate #ConsumerRights retroactively is a big problem contributing to the #PowerAsymetry in #LateStageCapitalism.

#Sony should've been forced to support #OtherOS for the entire #PS3 lifespan and not be allowed to just pay settlement cheques - that ain't being offered worldwide anyways - and still retroactively #NERF a product.
