I gave a lightning talk at a bunch of conferences in 2025 about some of the exciting new things coming in Python 3.14, including template strings.

One thing we can use t-strings for is to prevent SQL injection. I illustrated this with xkcd 327 aka “Little Bobby Tables”.

I localised most of the slides for the PyCon I was at, including this comic. Here they are!

My talk from @pyconfi was published today.

In the talk, I share my tips for becoming better at debugging: the mindset, some processes and great Python tooling.

Posted a small report on my blog. In summary, I gave a talk, enjoyed the keynote, sprinted a bit, and appreciated Jyväskylä sights. quanttype.net/posts/2025-10-19

The return of PyCon Finland was a marvellous event.

I wrote a recap of the conference (+ a bit about Lokacon) to capture the experience.

There are many ways to provide memorable conference swag: I loved these LEGO logos for #PloneConf2025 and @pyconfi and they immediately got a home from my pegboard.

Jyväskylä vibes - it's a beautiful, cold morning

A view on a walking bridge towards blocky white buildings among trees. Some of the trees are green, some of them are yellow.A view over a lake. On the other side of lake, the buildings of a city can be seen. There are shrouds of mist floating over the water.A view of the white blocky buildings of Ylistö campus. In the center, stairs go up to the buildings. On the right, there are thin spruces. On the left, there's an abstract sculpture.A large metal sculpture with organic form on a grassy hill. The grass is frozen.
