I did a #Quadraphonic rework of "00045 forgive" by dvdv, then encoded it with #QUARK so you can play it in stereo as-is or in quadraphonic using a hardware decoder, the free QUARK plugin on your computer, or a home theater receiver with Dolby Pro Logic II.
The video linked below includes the encoded stereo track and a 5.1 surround mix. YouTube will play the audio in either stereo or full surround, according to the capabilities of the device you watch it on.

I still want to explore translating my #quadraphonic music to #DolbyAtmos, but these details have certainly deflated my motivation.

I notice quite the outbreak of surround sound enabled videos on oo-tube. Seems a bit late in the day for all that 5.1, 7.1 palava. Thought it was all Atmos or spatial audio now. All my life, somewhere, somebody was convinced that surround sound was the next big thing. @atomicpoet The guy i was talking bout set up a quad listening room and has a #quadraphonic copy (on tape) of "Dark side of the moon" .. they did a listening party a few weeks ago, but i didn't have time to go.. but we're doing it again in a few weeks.
@atomicpoet me and the guy who owns the studio i goof round were just talking about the idea of producing #quadraphonic mixes of some projects we've work on on 30 ips tape. but i am just looking into how much interest there would be. he's working out the technical details
