So Reddit is challenging Australia taking a first step with an age-related social media ban, saying it limits political discussion. It doesn'tgo far enough (as others pointed out and prompted me to rewrite this), but it is a first move towards stopping a reality warping, narcissistic slide to the bottom via the current wave of mainstreamed sociopathy and psychopathy. It needs to be even more thorough, but I guess Reddit isn't interested in stopping that downward spiral.
Anything which reduces radicalisation in a vulnerable age group is good. Why do Reddit want to continue enabling the harm?
To an extent, it reduces triggering and exposure to negative conditioning linked to bullying, eating disorders, violence and abuse etc., not only by what it bans but also heightening awareness of the issue.
Fact is, it takes time to orientate oneself in this crazy world in order to accurately sift political discussion and detect political corruption, hype and likely failure, false 'prophets', sex-abusing pastors, and billionaires causing turmoil by backdoor or front door funding agitation and warping of reality to promote their hoarding-dissorder wealth extraction, sociopathy and psychopathy.
Go for it Australia. Interrupt the crooked, dirty game, but do it more thoroughly, wise to the fact that antisocial and bought agitators will kick up a fuss at anything which touches on responsibility or accountability.
