I spent the weekend at a yoga retreat, enjoying some c yoga classes, nature, kirtan, and healthy vegetarian food.
I got home and there was about 1.5kg of water retention in the books. Wondering how much salt that healthy vegetarian food contained 🤔

Ironing the raincoat to activate the waterproofing treatment after washing it always feels weird.
It's October, which means I start to see events for Halloween events.
But these Halloween events are happening on the 25th of October, or the 1st or 2nd of November.
Halloween being the 31st of October, and the 1st of November being a holiday here, I am always mighty confused why would anyone want to move the event to any other night than the 31st of October.
I am so tired of neighbours getting cats, that basically are outdoor cats (no barn).
Because those outdoor cats keep killing little birds, and keep coming into our garden to annoy the fauna in our garden (and there is no way of keeping the annoying cats out of the garden either).
Apparently my fingerprints change often. I have to re-add them to my phone regularly, because fingerprint scan stops working.
Encountered a time paradox.
By waking up (& getting up) 30 minutes earlier on a Sunday, we can do more chores in the morning and still be done an hour earlier than we used to be.
How the heck?!
Today's most fulfilling task was: swapping the broken wheels of the dishwasher basket by the new ones that arrived during one of my many meetings (spent about 6,5h in meetings in a 9h work day...)
Last year was the last edition of the hard dance festival nearby. Sadly, the same shit with a different name is happening this year again. Three days of hearing tchun-tchun-tchun until 1am.
I really don't understand what people find in that kind of music, or why it has to be so loud I can hear it from 2km distance (yes, I know wind direction has to do with that too).
Even worse, I don't understand how that is allowed to take place in a big park/forest/nature area.
Things I do while I listen to my mother's weekly monologue on the phone (I mean, I call home):
- Water the plants
- Hang laundry / take down laundry
- Iron clothing
- Plantar fascia MFR (self massage)
- Simple stretches
- Bake waffles
- Cook dinner
- Paint my (toe)nails
- Dust the house
- Toot about things I do while listen to the monologue
- Color drawings

This allergy season is really nasty. My sinuses are definitely not happy, bending forward gives me a nasty headache. Every day around 17:00 my throat starts swelling and being rather painful. And I am generally tired.
I would really appreciate if my immune system would stop getting overexcited by the angiosperms' bacchanalia going on outside. (*)

I saw a notification on my watch that read "(Gym owner's name) wants to talk with you" sent by @jan while I was teaching yoga today, and I freaked out "OH, NO, what did I do?! Is he going to kick me out?!".
Once I was finally able to open my phone and read the rest of the message "(Current yoga teacher's name) is stopping with the yoga" and huge sigh of relief 🤣
Sometimes my past me is a way too ambitious, responsible adult and I dislike that.
Sooo...
Boss asked me to consider taking big coordinating rol in big big project for the coming (at least) 2 years. Me being his preferred option above someone with more seniority than me, a higher level than me (2 levels higher), and that also speaks French.
He also said he was annoyed I was the best option because it means I would possibly have less time to do my other task (team lead).
Apparently it is perfectly normal to record a video while driving, with phone placed low on the dash & looking down at it, complaining about drivers in a very passive aggressive manner ("Congratulations, finally today we're driving 85 in a zone 80!") then post it on Instagram as a story.
And when called out on how unsafe and irresponsible that is, replying with "🤣🤣" like it's funny endorsing unsafe driving...
(good riddance to that person)
