Monsters live inside me.
They are very vocal if not fed at regular intervals.
This allergy season is really nasty. My sinuses are definitely not happy, bending forward gives me a nasty headache. Every day around 17:00 my throat starts swelling and being rather painful. And I am generally tired.
I would really appreciate if my immune system would stop getting overexcited by the angiosperms' bacchanalia going on outside. (*)

I saw a notification on my watch that read "(Gym owner's name) wants to talk with you" sent by @jan while I was teaching yoga today, and I freaked out "OH, NO, what did I do?! Is he going to kick me out?!".
Once I was finally able to open my phone and read the rest of the message "(Current yoga teacher's name) is stopping with the yoga" and huge sigh of relief 🤣
#RandomToot Herinnert u zich deze nog ?
Sometimes my past me is a way too ambitious, responsible adult and I dislike that.
Sooo...
Boss asked me to consider taking big coordinating rol in big big project for the coming (at least) 2 years. Me being his preferred option above someone with more seniority than me, a higher level than me (2 levels higher), and that also speaks French.
He also said he was annoyed I was the best option because it means I would possibly have less time to do my other task (team lead).
Apparently it is perfectly normal to record a video while driving, with phone placed low on the dash & looking down at it, complaining about drivers in a very passive aggressive manner ("Congratulations, finally today we're driving 85 in a zone 80!") then post it on Instagram as a story.
And when called out on how unsafe and irresponsible that is, replying with "🤣🤣" like it's funny endorsing unsafe driving...
(good riddance to that person)
I've realized I was born to be a lady of leasure.
Not too early nor late mornings. Visiting a museum. Enjoying a luncheon. Exercising for fun. A relaxed evening.
I have a podcast that refuses to play if I use a casting device, but plays if I use bluetooth (speaker/headphones).
And it is only THAT one podcast. All other podcasts will play using a casting device.
Wtaf?
When you all talk computer talk, I have no clue what's going on, but I appreciate y'all letting me hang around.
Quick question.
Should I get the undercarriage rustproofing with a new computer?
The sales person thinks I should.
@sadedoes I feel pretty much the same about the Tai Chi and Quigung that I do.
I hear all the claims for the benefits and vaguely understand the psudo-science about moving Chi energy around.....
But I do it because **I enjoy it** - if I get a milligramme of better health from doing it one hour a week that's a bonus!
(I found your post from the #randomtoot hashtag - I'm not a stalker!!!)
As much as I love yoga as a movement practice, I know (and I feel it in my body) that it is not enough, and it won't increase my strength nor my bone density nor my cardiovascular health.
And I am also tired of all the people saying that yoga is enough and not accepting the scientific evidence for strength training, impact training and cardiovascular conditioning.
Why do people bring their whole extended family to the supermarket? Leave them the fck at home, do the groceries quick, and maybe just maybe other people won't give you the stinky eye because you're blocking the aisle and your spawns are screaming their lungs out like they're being taken to the slaughter house.
And no I won't do delivery or pick up service because I do not trust them to to my groceries. Too many stories of "out of veggie burgers, so you get chicken burgers" or whatever.
Watching (an old season of) Masterchef Australia, one of the contestants was wearing some earrings that at first look I was convinced were kettlebells.
I had to do a double take, and was actually pretty disappointed they weren't.
It's that time of the year when one part of the planet has switched clocks but the other hasn't (of those that do switch) and all those inter continental calls are so much fun again.
Autumn might be my most favourite season.
Crisp air, bright days, crunchy leaves & acting silly kicking those leaves on walks. Including ministry of silly walks kicks 😇

It has taken me years to get to the point where I am confident establishing my boundaries at work, making them clear, and enforcing them.
I am at the point now where I get to coach colleagues in this same boundary setting & enforcing practice.
Adulting is scary, and sometimes I just keep faking it, it looks like I am making it.
Yesterday, on the way back from the office, Das Boot (aka, my car) started freaking out, complaining that the distance and parking sensors were not available, while I was driving through one of the city's tunnels.
I enjoyed the loud beep and blinking notification every couple of minutes, until I got out of the tunnel.
I found a spot I could park in, and did what any reasonably IT-literate person would do: turned off DasBoot, waited a couple minutes, and restarted it. Problem solved 😂
Some days I really really really have doubts about my line of work and how the market works.
Today is one of those days. It's the third (fourth? I lost count) that a certain project has been put on hold by our partners. A project that takes about 80% of my time. So that means for next week I'm pretty much out of work.
I am so glad I am not self employed.
