We start off this week in 2017 with Konishi's role as Matsubara in #recreators. One of the major creators whose fictional character comes to our world, Matsubara becomes something of a parental figure for the group, particularly for his creation Selesia and Souta as they struggle to develop their own selves. Konishi's performance here is that of a middle-aged man whose years of experience help to remain (relatively) level-headed.

Finally for this week, in 2017, Murakawa got a little meta when she voiced Mamika from #recreators. Originally for a magical girl anime a la Precure, Mamika originally fights against our protagonists, believing them to be the enemy, only to quickly grabble with her own morality and sense of self in a world not made for her. While not being as important as others, Mamika still makes her impact felt, particularly through Murakawa's heartfelt and powerful performance.

Jumping to 2017, Kanemoto voiced a quite different character in #recreators as the character designer Marine. Finding herself confronting a character she designed, along with other fictional characters in our world, Marine kept a positive take on things even in the darkest moments, with Kanemoto's acting providing levity and fun in her every scene.

Also in 2017, Hikasa voiced the knight Aliceteria in #recreators. Taken from her fictional world into our own, Aliceteria starts off as an antagonist who seeks revenge against her creator, only to find herself beginning to question if she truly is on the right side. Hikasa nails the part of the honorable knight struggling to find meaning in the world and balancing revenge with justice.

2017 saw Toyosaki get to play a baddie in #recreators as Altair. The one responsible for thinning the barriers between our world and fictional ones, Altair presented a cool and calm appearance, but was able to show her despair-filled rage when pushed to her limits, moments expertly showcased by Toyosaki's heartrending and frighting vocal performance.

I interpret this song goes as both internal and external tragedy that also reflects a specific main character of Banana Fish. The anime was part of the Summer 2018 lineup and was one of the EDs featured.

If you want something with rap and R&B, this song can hit well. The anime that it comes from, Akudama Drive during the Fall 2020 season, is one that I would personally recommend for its character depth and twists contained within 12 episodes.

RE:Creators (part of Spring 2017 season) has quite a few EDs. This time, however, I want to use an ED that showcases a bit of fun with drawing characters. What I like about this ED in particular is the drawing process that's showcased, which also aligns with one of the central points of the anime itself.

Brought from her world to our own, Meteora was a guide to our main characters in their struggle for survival while providing a lot of snark along the way, codifying a central archetype that Minase has played over the years.

The YGG Studios video on the second episode of #Evangelion focused on a scene where the Dialogue and the Visuals are delivering completely different strands of information. These first 5 episodes of #ReCreators have some scenes pretty similar to that.

And that's exactly the kind of scene you can't watch as intended Subbed. The entire point is your Ears focus on one story and the eyes focus the other. Watching the #Anime Subbed makes it so your eyes are what's really doing both.
