Working on my Cat-ception movie.

When I showed my daughter the second photo in this series, she said, "Cool! Inception." It sounded right, but rather than admit my ignorance, I looked it up on Wikipedia:

Inception is a 2010 science fiction action film... The film's title has been colloquialized as the suffix -ception, which can be jokingly appended to a noun to indicate a layering, nesting, or recursion of the thing in question.

A large orange and white tabby cat is staring directly at the camera with a friendly expression (it's me, he was staring at me). He is white on his lower face, neck, chest, and front and back paws, and mostly orange stripes on the rest of him. (He is also mostly white on his tummy, but he's usually quite modest and doesn't flaunt it.) He has a glorious ring tail.

The cat is sitting on a standing computer desk to the right of my monitor in the corner of a room with light blue walls. On the left wall is part of a print of the Yellowknife, NT, area called Smoky Sundown by Graeme Shaw featuring rocky Canadian shield and scraggly conifer trees on small islands in blue water. The print is partly covered by a corner of my second monitor, which is sitting on a seaside-themed photo box. To the left of the cat on the desk you can see a computer mouse and external keyboard along with a loose earbud cord.

The photo on the monitor is the thing, though. Behind the cat, on the monitor, is a photo of the cat sitting on the same computer desk (but to the left of the monitor), looking at me with a friendly expression. To the right of the cat in the monitor photo is a photo of the monitor with the cat sitting almost in the middle of the monitor. If you look really hard at the first monitor, you can see a photo of my daughter when she was younger on a beach on southern Vancouver Island (hey, you have to start somewhere!)
