#RightToHack

If I was the EU:

I'd get as far away from USA tech, economy, & thinking, become as incompatible as possible

I'd expand consumer laws: #RightToRepair, #RightToSalvage, #RightToInteroperability, #RightToPreserve, #RightToEncryption, #RightToHack, etc…

Rewrite tax laws so that you can only get a tax write-off on anything digital if you release it as open source

I'd massively invest in alternatives for the internet, which don't use the internet protocol stack, like meshcore, reticulum, etc…

@EU_Commission Would that include a #rightToHack? Because aside from broken displays broken software and end of vendor support typically mark the end of usability. And not everybody seems to be on board with the #RightToRepair broken software when it comes to unlocking, publishing instructions, liberating cloud bound hardware and so on. The proposal reads already like those organisations have already succeeded in watering down the idea.
