Companies that you call to open a safe you cannot open (example: you are locked out because the safe has electronics for entering in the PIN that has died) don’t require any proof of ownership of the safe. As long as you can get the technician to the safe they will proceed to open it.

Any #lockpicking / #locksport / #safecracking folks out there?

I’ve become the owner of a nice Sargent & Greenleaf Model 8088 combination lock—previously used to secure tactical nuclear weapons components—but unfortunately it’s locked and the combination has been forgotten.

I have the “change key” and original instructions, but (for obvious reasons) you can only use them to change the combo when the lock is open.

I’d love to have it be more than just an interesting paperweight.
