He also reminded me that I said that I'd want to make sure I could refill my 20 oz. water bottle every time I ran out without having to wait for the pitcher to finish filtering. Never have I been so grateful for my husband’s love language being “fixing things” as when he coaxed the furnace back to life after it decided to take a long winter nap during this 17 degree cold snap.

He fixes (and mechanically and electronically improves) things for a living, so it’s rare to see him triumphant over a repair. Usually it’s just another day at the office, bringing machines pronounced dead back to life. The novelty of our elderly furnace sparked joy.
