This is my custom portrait of Smokey the cute Siberian cat! This portrait will eventually become a shiny foiled print, and this special style helps foil release cleanly from the print.
If you've ever considered a Siberian cat, this is just a reference. Two days of combing in the middle of summer. Not blowout, just the daily Gus. He also blows his coat twice a year in spring and fall, which makes this look like a drop in a bucket.
Haven't had much luck with spinning it but it felts beautifully and and is just as soft as angora in my opinion. I'm also not very skilled at spinning at all, so you might have more luck.
So it's either a benefit or a hindrance depending on your hobbies. It also composts well and seems to keep the slugs at bay, but we do a heck of a lot of vacuuming.
The birds also love using it for nests in the spring.
