tried to challenge myself with some grieg sightreading (this is from the lyrical pieces, it's called "efterklang").
that one fermata surprised me a bit 😇 otherwise, i guess i got through without breaks.
The soprano is having second thought about agreeing to sing with the ensemble. The baritone has totally lost patience with her and is rolling his eyes. Isn’t this how #sightreading usually goes?

- The Chrysanthemum (1904) - finished learning Section D, can play the entire song now
I tried practicing sight-reading by not looking down as often, but it's difficult when the left hand jumps around a lot. I'll have to get used to feeling the shape of the notes rather than remembering what they look like visually.
Hmmm, Garageband's Score may not be right for you - it sounds like you need a more educational app?

My music reading skills are at an infant stage. Just recently I learned about counting the #rythm in the written notes. My violin teacher is a very patient man so we started with kindergartenlevel counting exercises. Today I found this channel. Great for people like me who want to clap #sightreading exercises!
