Calypso being cute #snake #SnakeSaturday
Rotund #squamate update for #SnakeSaturday - the plant I believed she could not topple has, in fact, been toppled. It has now been tied to a chair for increased stability (both the #snake and the plant are fine). I am currently attempting to snake-proof my living room so she can roam freely 24/7 but it’s not 100% there yet.

Ratsnake shenanigans.

In the background you can also see my most recent #resin creation.
I made another #ballpython using the custom mould I developed together with an artist on Etsy. This time I used green-purple iridescent powder. As usual, it’s not perfect, but I still quite like it. Maybe I should reopen my online shop to sell these things. #art #snake #SnakeSaturday

Calypso drank water from my water bottle, then did snake jaw shenanigans. Also #yawn.
I love her.

Don’t mind her, she’s just heading over to the kitchen.

Calypso likes to tunnel in aspen. I love her.
It’s been a while since I last posted a #SnakeSaturday photo, but here we are.
The smooth-brained squamate is enjoying the new apartment - the summer temps always seem to trigger prolonged active behavior. She even managed to escape into the outside world by busting out of her enclosure & climbing over the balcony. She was missing for a terrifying three days, which is an experience I DON’T want to repeat.
Luckily, all went well & she’s back & active as ever #snake #ballpython #reptiles
Walk in the woods. Spotted a grass snake.

Spot the snake!
(Unidentified species of snake amongst the arrowhead [𝘚𝘢𝘨𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘢 𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘧𝘰𝘭𝘪𝘢] and pondweed [𝘗𝘰𝘵𝘢𝘮𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘰𝘯 sp.], from last July.)
I acquired long #socks for #snake to try. It seems that she enjoyed it.

As it’s still #SnakeSaturday in this time zone, have a photo of this cute Woma #python from San Diego.
It’s been a while since I posted my child on here. With the lengthening days and warmer ambient temperature in my apartment she seems to think “dry season” is over and is becoming more active again.

Snapshot of Gaboon viper!
Why are the deadliest snakes also always some of the cutest?
