Rotund #squamate update for #SnakeSaturday - the plant I believed she could not topple has, in fact, been toppled. It has now been tied to a chair for increased stability (both the #snake and the plant are fine). I am currently attempting to snake-proof my living room so she can roam freely 24/7 but it’s not 100% there yet.

A Grey ratsnake (Pantherophis spiloides) in her terrarium. She has crawled inside a wet cardboard tube that sat halfway in her water bowl (She put it there!) And come out looking proud of herself on the other end. The rest of the terrarium has aspen bedding, branches and fake plants, hides and other cardboard tubes fo her to play with.

In the background you can also see my most recent #resin creation.

I made another #ballpython using the custom mould I developed together with an artist on Etsy. This time I used green-purple iridescent powder. As usual, it’s not perfect, but I still quite like it. Maybe I should reopen my online shop to sell these things. #art #snake #SnakeSaturday

It’s been a while since I last posted a #SnakeSaturday photo, but here we are.

The smooth-brained squamate is enjoying the new apartment - the summer temps always seem to trigger prolonged active behavior. She even managed to escape into the outside world by busting out of her enclosure & climbing over the balcony. She was missing for a terrifying three days, which is an experience I DON’T want to repeat.
