Hmmmm 🤔

reddit.com/r/iOSProgramming/co

I had the cheapest Mac Mini money could buy (and not eve nsecond hand) in ~2016 and it went back to the Apple store 2 days later, I have zero patience with underpowered machines.

@deutrino @fdrc_ff Nostr has NIPs, XMPP has XEP and RFC, ActivityPub has whatever W3 paper is, so Spark is going to have

@deutrino I can identify safely at least three groups this could be handy for

1. LGBTQ+
2. Specificially trans (non-exclusive, they could be on the LGBTQ+ and/or on the trans), the main reason is specic criteria decided by them.
3. Neurodivergents (I can see myself on this one).

I'm thinking on composable discovery, which is like taking a twist on Bluesky composable moderation. Same app, you choose what subroups you want to belong to and your searching criteria

Right now I have the classiffiers: gender_i_am & gender_i_want.

I'm thinking:
classifier, what_i_am, what_i_want. And those classifiers are public and stackable.

While the world was sleeping, I found a decent course from a guy with an accent incredibly similar to mine despite being from Canary Islands and surprisingly the only decent course I could find (I never go for courses in Spanish, but all the ones in English are PURE shite).

I also went for the get started tutorial here and made a SplashScreen.

The magic of knowing that many languages = picking up a new ecosystem has close to no friction.

Also KMP/Jetpack Compose is pretty much React UI design done in a decent language.

Of course I set dark mode.

Latest Sparkr thought that's making me reconsider the whole thing and wondering whether to release first a separated version of the chatting feature

(it's actually hard to find a NIP-17 chatting app that's decent even 0xChat while pretty, is buggier than Sparkr in the order the messages show up, let alone it has an excess of features you don't need or want on a chatting app).

Here the thought (started this morning)

> the fedi is the SAFEST place for LGBTQ+ people.

We come back because we feel safe. There's no dark patterns built in, it's all 100% voluntary. OTHER humans make it safe, from the mastodon ....

I need Codeberg projects to work as nicely as Github projects.

That means getting two features:
1. being able to create an issue directly inside a column. The new issue thing takes me out of the project page.

2. Android app access. I can quickly see what I'm up to on any project on Github android app by going to the project Kanban thing. GitNex is wonderful and seems to be the closest thing to the Github android app, but there's no project viewing feature.

If I get those two, I can literally get out of Github before 2026

Project view on CodebergThe feature as shown in GithubCreating a new issue inside a column does not take me to any other page. I continue inside the projects window

In case anyone missed it, one of the original creators of SparkR has just proposed deprecating SparkR in favor of sparklyr. Although I know R and have had some experience with it, I cannot say for sure about the advantages of SparkR over sparklyr. But what I can see is that SparkR is suffering from a lack of maintenance and maybe it is really better for the Apache Spark community to drop the R bindings...
