Last Friday, I was in #Limburg an der Lahn to take some photos for #MonochromeMarch. This lantern stands on the Kleine Domtreppe (Small Cathedral Steps), which, as the name suggests, leads up to the cathedral.

On Tuesday, I took a little trip to Frankfurt, Mannheim, Heidelberg, and Wiesbaden. I came home with a few shots for #MonochromeMarch that I will show here bit by bit. Let's start with the bridge gate of the Old Bridge in #Heidelberg.

Most of the frame is filled with a layered, clouded sky rendered in smooth gradients; a bright, diffuse opening in the clouds sits slightly right of center, fading into darker gray toward the top. Along the bottom quarter, a distant landscape stretches across the horizon: rolling hills and patchwork fields with a small cluster of houses and trees, all in darker tones beneath the luminous sky.

Spring is coming

Winter’s days are numbered. It’s supposed to hit 16°C over the next few days, at least where I live. So: outside, you couch potatoes and scroll addicts! 😀
