Hey, Actors of Mastodon, this is a new group on Mastodon! Just tag and follow the group user, @actorsofmastodon

This is a broad group for members who are actors, including stage, voice, film, & TV actors, both pro & amateur.

This group has no moderator, so the group is self-policing. Report bad actors—ahem—as you would with any other post (e.g. to your own server’s admin)..

We can create our own rules, but I suggest starting with the server rules here: mastodon.actors.social/about.

Server support for this group is at a.gup.pe

You don’t have to follow the group in your own stream. You can check in from time to time here: a.gup.pe/u/actorsofmastodon

Some tips on using Guppe groups: fedi.tips/how-to-use-groups-on

Time for some identity projection.

"Theres nothing illegal about any of this!"

I'm on stage this time in a stage play based on the iconic 1985 movie. Tickets are through Ovation (first link), with info on the production at the historic Crighton Theatre's site (link 2) and soon on the Stage-Right of Texas production company site (link 3)

Fresh Air with Terry Gross remembers actor David McCallum (1933–2023).

“McCallum, who died Sept. 25, played an off-beat medical examiner on NCIS, but got his start nearly 60 years earlier, playing a Russian agent on the The Man from U.N.C.L.E. Originally broadcast in '92.”

On December 20, 1950, the movie “Harvey,” starring James Stewart & Josephine Hull, premiered in NYC.
“Harvey” was the 2nd film (after “It’s a Wonderful Life”) that Stewart appeared in after serving in WW2. He served in the U.S. Army’s Air Service (now the USAF) rising to the rank of Commanding Officer of the 703d Bomb Squadron. When discharged, he quipped, “Who could tell whether I was an unemployed actor or an unemployed flier?”
