Five meat companies – JBS, Marfrig, Tyson, Minerva and Cargill – combined emit more greenhouse gases than Chevron, Shell or BP.

Around 80% of these emissions come from cattle.

While science calls for reducing livestock emissions, Big Meat and Dairy are expanding fast.

The world’s biggest meat empire, JBS, plans to grow 70% by 2050 while walking back its climate commitments.

Infographic showing a bar chart comparing the greenhouse gas emissions of the five largest meat companies (JBS, Marfrig, Tyson, Minerva and Cargill) with those of major oil companies (Chevron, Shell and BP). The chart title reads “Big meat companies’ greenhouse gas emissions rival Big Oil’s.” Logos of Greenpeace, Foodrise, Friends of the Earth and IATP appear at the bottom.

Greenpeace responds to New Zealand’s dairy industry-backed methane rollback

Auckland, New Zealand – New Zealand’s government has confirmed it will rewrite its climate law to weaken the country’s methane emissions target – a move Greenpeace warns will violate the Paris Agreement and embolden other major meat and dairy producers and exporters, including Ireland and Uruguay, to follow suit.

Shefali Sharma, Global Agriculture Campaigner, Greenpeace Germany said: “New Zealand has signalled to the world’s biggest meat and dairy producers that it’s fine to ignore the largest human-made source of methane – and in doing so, undermine the Paris Agreement and accelerate global heating. Other major livestock exporting countries will now feel empowered to follow suit, which risks sparking a race to the bottom and threatens to derail global climate action.”

The real culprit is industrial agriculture.

With in the Amazon weeks away, governments must act to cut emissions, protect forests, and support farmers and rural communities.

After the flames fade, the forest doesn’t recover ‼️

Pasture replaces trees. Profit replaces protection. According to the World Resources Institute, cattle pasture is the #1 driver of deforestation in the Amazon.

JBS continues sourcing from high-risk suppliers, even after violations.

🌱 This isn’t restoration. It’s replacement.

🚨 Big Agriculture Wants to Hide Pesticide Dangers! 🚨

A group of state Attorneys General (from Louisiana, Montana, North Dakota, South Carolina, and South Dakota) is pushing the EPA to block states from requiring stronger warnings on dangerous pesticides. 🤯

Right now, states like California can require extra warning labels if a pesticide is linked to cancer, birth defects, or reproductive harm—even if the EPA downplays the risks. These attorneys general want to ban states from adding their own protections, forcing everyone to follow only the EPA’s (often weaker) rules.

Why does this matter? 💡 Because pesticide companies have HUGE influence over the EPA, and they often pressure regulators to ignore or downplay health risks. If this rule goes through, corporations win, and public health loses.

States should have the right to protect people, farms, and wildlife from toxic chemicals—not be forced to accept watered-down safety standards.

💬 What do you think? Should states be allowed to warn people about pesticide dangers?

Let Trump's EPA know in the comments! 😛 :ExtinctionRebellion:
