Jokes for 6–7 Years Old: How to Make Kids Laugh and Learn
Children may become confused by jokes that are too sophisticated. Children at this age are learning to speak and reason logically (Piaget, 1952). They might not understand a joke that uses abstract humor or sarcasm. Jokes such as “Why did the chicken cross the Möbius strip?” require an understanding of geometry. A six-year-old won’t get it and will be frustrated rather than amused.
