Accountants and Bookkeepers - Now that the US Mint is killing off pennies, can we PLEASE remove pennies from all public-facing financial statements? It has always struck me as arrogant when a set of financials with a $15MM top line and total assets of $10MM has pennies in it - like there are really nine significant figures of accuracy in those estimates. I'm spending a lot of time right now trying to not be too obsessive.
I have to change what I'm doing so I don't just keep doing it (or pick up the next thing that's somewhat similar).
Time gaps are particularly difficult, because there's a space of time before the next thing (lunch) starts.
That said, this bit is intriguing. Corporation tax: you don't pay til after appeals are exhausted, so you don't need a stay. VAT: you pay up-front, and don't normally get a stay. Does this help us guess what's going on??? #taxtwitter
