Good Friday morning. Sharing results from last nights observations. Starting out with following from top to bottom - / / -237 / . Image taken with Moon and Sky Light Filter.

Phi Aurigae / IC 417 The Spider Nebula / Sh2-237 The Fly Nebula / NGC 1931 - telescope processed image. Phi Aurigae is a bright orange giant star, while IC 417 (the Spider Nebula) is a nearby star-forming region where young stars' radiation carves out glowing gas clouds.Phi Aurigae / IC 417 The Spider Nebula / Sh2-237 The Fly Nebula / NGC 1931 - unprocessed image. Sh2-237 (The Fly Nebula) Also known as NGC 1931, this "miniature Orion Nebula" is a tight cluster of young stars encased in a glowing mix of both emission and reflection nebulosity.

Fog came in this morning, so this is the last image for now. Here is an observation of .

IC 417 The Spider Nebula - telescope processed image with Moon and Sky Light Filter. IC 417 is the "Spider Nebula," a distant \mathbf{H\\ II\\ region} (stellar nursery) in Auriga. It's an emission nebula where a cluster of hot, young stars is causing the gas to glow red.IC 417 The Spider Nebula - unprocessed image with Moon and Sky Light Filter. It is often imaged together with the nearby NGC 1931 (the "Fly Nebula"), forming a celestial pair known as the Spider and the Fly.

The clouds came in yesterday morning, way earlier than the weather app on the phone predicted. So did not get the expected exposure time on this view of .

IC 417 The Spider Nebula - telescope processed image with Moon and Sky Light Filter and LP Filter. The Spider Nebula (IC 417) is a large, luminous emission nebula and stellar nursery in Auriga, energized by hot, massive blue stars that trigger new star formation. IC 417 The Spider Nebula - unprocessed image with Moon and Sky Light Filter and LP Filter. IC 417 is half of a cosmic duo called the "Spider and the Fly"! It pairs with the nearby, smaller nebula NGC 1931, which acts as the 'fly.’

Another of the images from last night. .

IC 417 The Spider Nebula - telescope processed image with Moon and Sky Light Filter. An emission nebula in Auriga, roughly 10,000 light-years away. Nicknamed "The Spider" for its radiating, multi-legged appearance, it's an active stellar nursery lit by hot, young stars.IC 417 The Spider Nebula - unprocessed image with Moon and Sky Light Filter. It’s part of a famous pair called "The Spider and The Fly”. IC 417 is the Spider, and its tiny neighbor, NGC 1931, is The Fly.
