@FINOkoye and it's extra annoying because not every solution for unwieldy URLs is "just use my QR code!" until human eyes can decipher those, and don't need a smartphone to do it. QR codes are convenient for folks privileged to have smartphones, and literally nobody else.
I tried searching for a fedi url-shortener and really couldn't find anything so I am hoping this thread brings some nice alternative choices. BTW, I am enjoying your posts, so I followed you. Hi!

Please don't use #URL_shorteners.
• It's unnecessary on #Mastodon.
• I don't want to be tracked.
• I want to know where I'm going when I click a link.
• Shortened links might expire. (I regret having used URL shorteners in the early days of Twitter.)
