Gladys Andreas, who I met when I first moved here in 2009 but never got to know well, was kind of like an ambassador for the tsymbaly (Ukrainian hammered dulcimer) in the lower mainland. she used to teach the instrument in Surrey in the 90s, I think, I've occasionally come across people who took lessons with her.
