I've wanted to play it since I saw a gif or something of it years ago. Tried the demo but never got it after launch cause I didn't feel like I could give it the attention I wanted to.

At Otakon this year, I started playing an incredible game, #unpacking . I cannot recommend this game enough for a nice casual stress reducer. The subtle story elements told through its various stages are done with a master's stroke. Legendary. I finished it a couple days ago - the perfect length of a game. Didn't overstay it's welcome. But it will be on my mind for years to come.

I just finished #Unpackinggame after initially dismissing it as a #VideoGame that was not for me, after playing the first level and getting annoying about having to put something in the "right" place, when i thought where I put it was fine.

However I reinstalled on a whim, and am glad I did. It's a beautiful way to tell a story, to tell who we are through things, and the things we choose to keep, as well as those we discard, and the ways we need to take space, or make space in other people's lives. There's one bit that's a really nice confluence of story and game mechanics, with a particular item and where it goes, that had me exclaim out loud.

It's fairly short too, which works because it keeps it focussed on the story - any longer (or larger) and I think it'd start to get tiring, or boring, to have to unpack through.

Anyway, it's a lovely little game that's free on Gamepass - check it out if you haven't already.

Unpacking is a short, cute little game about moving and finding a place for all your stuff. It's very relaxing, the interface works very well.

What's fascinating about it is the story it tells through possessions. The things you keep since childhood, the collections that grow, the life achievements gained, friends that come and go.

They've done this so well I almost feel like I know this person.

Сегодня решил попробовать сыграть в #UnpackingGame по #XboxGamePass. Невероятно милая и медитативная игра. Залип на 3 часа, не мог оторваться. Рекомендую всем любителям наводить порядок дома (играть рекомендую все таки с мышью, на геймпаде больновато)
