I had the amazing realization this morning that I learned to solder about 50 years ago when I was in middle school. Even more amazing, I just forgot to put heat shrink on the wires before I soldered them together for the 8 millionth time. Argh!

A programming tragedy in 7 parts:

1. Decide to write some 'C' code
2. Install VScode on Windows again
3. Code starts working OK enough to run directly without debug
4. 'Friend' advises me to install "C/C++ Runner" for convenience
5. VSCcode loses ability to issue compile and gdb commands
6. Uninstall extension
7. VSCode remains broken

Actually, 2. and 3. were not tragic.

4. was vandalism by proxy. #whenwillilearn #vscode
