Something that's been bothering me for a while: smart, nice people that I count among my friends tend to "signal boost" (likes, reposts etc) a lot less than other people.
Your racist uncle is going to reshare whatever bullshit he comes across.
Your kind, well-educated friend will not. Not unless they truly and properly fact-check everything and believe everything.
And that's why
a) the Right wins the social battle
and
b) my music, writing and #wordrush have next to zero reach.

Esteemed steering committee, I'm tinkering with difficulty. The current experiment is to simply shuffle the ending of longer "next" words - up to 7 letters, there's no change; an 8-letter word might have the last two switched, for 9 it's the last 3 etc.
I'm running the simulations right now to see how much of an impact on average scores this would have (so far, I'd say it's close to nothing) but, in general, does it sound like?

I'd be happy if #Wordrush became a little bit more popular but I'm already overjoyed by the Steering Committee. This is good.
@pgcd the thing with #wordRush's exponential scoring is.. well.. it's exponential.
So you get a string of 12 letter words and suddenly you double the existing high score (set with 11 letter words...).
Oh, and the new rotate feature makes it a little easier to get chains of long words. Not a lot, but a bit less fiddly.

Since I'm a fool I have released the new #wordrush version without deploying the new backend.
Luckily I'm also a sane coder so the game works regardless, but the full high scores will have to wait until later today.
Biggest disadvantage of being Italian and over 50 is that most of my friends are at Italian and least over 40.
Biggest disadvantage of having Italian friends over 40 is that they're all married to some kind of minimalist aesthetics, whereby anything I try to do with #Wordrush graphics that's not in muted, pastel colors with the absolute minimum of fuss hits their "OH NO THAT'S WAY OVER THE TOP" opposition, and I'm not strong enough to fight against it.
My future is desaturated.
By the way, which is your longest (in time) pythia mode #WordRush? Because I've just played one so long that I'm going to save the result just in case 😬

For the moment, it's only saving scores and showing the very top ones (per mode + language) but I will add something to show the first N scores, sometime in the future.
As you can imagine, that will happen after I introduce some other completely unnecessary feature (now thinking about rotating the board and merging all timed modes)
