"2. OUR REPTILE-BRAIN FEARS WERE RIGHT..."

Panel 1 (Top): A massive, shattered blue hand slams into an icy landscape, cracks spreading beneath it.

Narration:
"SOMEONE WAS LOOMING. SOMEONE POWERFUL..."

Panel 2 (Bottom Left): Strange, monstrous creatures of various colors and shapes emerge, chaotic and threatening. The wonderful hand shatters, sending blue shards widely. They embed themselves into nearby people.

Panel 3 (Bottom Center): A crowd of bizarre, distorted beings stand together, some appearing curious, others terrified or aggressive.

Panel 4 (Bottom Right): A lone figure in a red parka watches the chaos, their breath visible in the cold, fear evident in their eyes.
Narration:
"NOBODY WOULD BE SAFE. WE NEVER WERE..."

A young woman stands under a glowing, ethereal blue hand reaching down from the sky. Flames burst from her hands, radiating energy as she gazes at them in awe.

Narration:
"3. The meek could now be powerful."

In the second (bottom left) panel, a group gathers around an altar, including a woman with red hair wielding a dagger and a rotund figure with symbols drawn on their body. Mystical energy flows around them.

Narration:
"The already powerful... Even more so."

Bottom right panel: A young man floats, elated with their newfound control over water. Large globules of water are suspended in mid-air along side him. We appear to be at an isolated farm.

Narration:
"Magic and latent gifts spread throughout the world..."

Narration: "Monsters and myth weren’t the stuff of imagination anymore."

Two farmhands consider the newest foal. It's glowing pink horn throwing them for a loop.

Narration:
"They never were."

A chaotic crimson forest filled with demons and mythological, grotesque, otherworldly creatures—serpents, and monstrous insects—emerging from the shadows Behind of the massive tree trunks, a hiker desperately hides and keeps quiet. Fearing for their life.

NARRATION:
"And whatever higher power decided to let itself be known..."

In the final bottom panel, Beasts of all kinds emerge, a clash of myth and reality. Including a snarling, wolf-like creature with glowing eyes leads a horde of monstrous beings across a barren landscape.

Narration:
"...was kind of a dick."

The cosmic hand flips the world off, surrounded by floating jellyfish-like creatures. In the foreground, two figures embrace while another cheers with arms raised. A fourth figure seems to have fallen, reaching out—their body slowly breaking down into particles towards the sky.

March 21, 1997 - THE DAY OF WONDER

An ancient city gate towers above a bustling marketplace filled with colorful signs and lively crowds. People from various backgrounds look skyward in awe and fear as a cosmic blue light rains down.

Five people stand together, staring upwards with expressions of shock, one of them pointing towards the sky, directly at the looming threat.

Narration:
"On that fateful day, the skies tore open and a supernatural disaster spread unpredictably..."

A massive, otherworldly blue hand emerges from the clouds, descending upon a city filled with towering buildings. The hand's starry, cosmic texture glows with a faint light, surrounded by swirling, mist-like clouds.

NARRATION: "Across the world, that blue hand made a few things apparent: "

Narration:
"1: THE DUAL HISTORIES OF THE MUNDANE & ARCANE WORLDS WERE RIPPED WIDE OPEN."

Panel 1 (Top Left): Small vignettes show the sudden appearance of the blue cosmic hand, shocking people around the world.

A news anchor reports the phenomenon.

The hand descends on a cityscape. Another news anchor drinks multiple bottles on-air.

An anchor reacts with disbelief, throwing their papers wildly.

Another anchor flexes and tears off his shirt, basking in the chaos.

One final anchor, only in underwear and socks, stark raving mad & yelling to the cameras.

Panel 2 (Top Right): A middle aged couple huddles together in their living room, a sense of dread and uncertainty in their eyes. Their special child looks on at the newscast, awestruck.

Narration:
"THEY UNIFIED INTO ONE TIMELINE. FEW SECRETS WERE LEFT UNKNOWN."

Panel 3 (Bottom): The massive blue hand strikes a city, causing buildings to crumble and streets to shatter under its cosmic force.

Narration:
"HISTORY WAS REWRITTEN. REALITY ITSELF WAS REWRITTEN THAT DAY."

An older version of #wundrasate when it was called Compos Mentis. Arthur, is ambushed and has to dispose of a monster sent by his estranged brother. He summons chains which drag it underground. Since it's a more aquatic lifeform, it can't survive too long.

In retrospect, I would've added an extreme closeup up of Arthur's face and lingered a bit more to really sell how disturbed he was. The creature was gonna kill him and he had no choice, but it's still something that weighs on someone's mind

Can't sleep, just thinking 'bout my #wundrasate comic and how to use my Adhd to my advantage.
One thing I will do is make foilage/flora prefabs/brushes for procreate. Hopefully that will keep me from getting overwhelmed while in the production phase.

I'm already having trouble with small thumbnailing right now. So I'm gonna pivot to larger thumbnails and quickly sketch out layouts according to my script. #comicart #comicker #illustration

My take on #Pride, as a kind of magic inside. Growing up, my queerness always made me feel apart from others but somewhere inside, unconsciously, knew it made me "special." Not like a chosen few, but as something to be appreciative of, despite the negative reaction it could bring. Anyway, wanted to use my #wundrasate character, Brooklyn as an embodiment of that idea. Also, I like using as many colours as possible.

Brooklyn Bird, the protagonist of #Wundrasate. Always imagined this scene would take place somewhere in the midpoint of the narrative. He's gone through so many trials at this point and gearing up for a tournament. He's mastered a few spells and really coming into his magical and investigative skills. There's a bunch of anatomical errors but I dont care. First thing in a while where the inking don't feel flat, akin to the initial sketch. Have to remember to keep inking as a continuous process where I can refine it. Basically treat it like an active part of the drawing and not a precious final version. #wundrasate #conceptart #sketch

Been taking a break from socials. Working on concept art for two comic projects, #dotbots, Godot gamesl(s) and reconsidering my #wundrasate project/Patreon has really taken it out of me. I know I'm burnt out but ADHD doesn't really let me sit still. Literally have to ALWAYS BE DOING SOMETHING!
