Card H-X: Wolverine
Not sure why this last chase card is so atypical.
There's also 9 variants of cards from the main set w/a gold foil "30 years" over the X icon but they're otherwise the same, so that's a wrap on #XMen Series 2!

Card H-3: Storm
Is this maybe a swipe from Uncanny X-Men #289-#290? I swear I've seen this Storm figure before but can't place it.
Card H-1: Cable
The hologram chase cards are all from Art Thibert. They all seem familiar - either as repurposed pinups or Thibert recreating an image — but I can't quite place them.
Card 100: Checklist
The nice thing about 100 card sets is that the whole checklist can fit on side. The downside is when the extra space gets used for an immediately-dated computer effect.
Card 099: The fury of Storm
And with that, the animated series subset concludes with nary a look or mention of Cyclops...
Card 098: The claws of Wolverine
And now what we all came for: another Wolverine card.
Card 097: The power of Professor X
Is it weird that all the words in the titles of these cards aren't capitalized? It feels weird. "The Power of Professor X" feels better.
Card 096: Beast hangs out
I guess it's cuz the cardbacks are trying to tell a cohesive narrative but it's curious Beast gets highlighted when he was backpedaled for so much of S1.
Also, they skipped Cyclops' intro. 😢
Card 095: Jubilee's fireworks
The cropping on this one seems off. I suppose they were trying to highlight the eponymous fireworks, but the effect doesn't pop on the card as much & results in too much "mall" on the card.
Card 093: Persuasion, Gambit-style
Your regular reminder that the tone for animated Gambit was struck immediately in his first onscreen appearance as he shamelessly flirted w/the sales person while buying playing cards in bulk
Card 092: The Sentinel strikes!
As with the other cards in the set, the overall design detracts from the impact of the main image, but this does make for a striking card image.
Card 091: Sabretooth Unleashed
Featuring the then-new animated series at a time when getting VHS copies of 4 eps at Pizza Hut was a big deal makes sense, though doing it via stills of the 1st half of the 1st ep is an odd way to do it.
Card 090: Six Pack
A curious card, snapshot of a status quo that never really existed. I guess there must've been plans to reform the Six Pack w/Vanessa in Cable's place, a more formal version of Domino's post-XS X-Force/Cable plot.
Card 089: Mutant Liberation Front
I still love these Liefeldian goobers so much.
Xavier is clearly writing this cardback before X-Cutioner's Song, when Stryfe more or less tosses this group to the wolves as part of his revenge tour.
Card 088: Dark Riders
In part because their members are less well-known, the lack of detail here hurts more thanw/the Brotherhood.
If Xavier knows Stryfe is their leader, he should know Stryfe is unable to dictate their orders anymore
Card 087: Brotherhood of Evil Mutants.
Possibly the least bad Pacella card in the set?
Xavier giving props to the OG Brotherhood on the cardback is interesting. Also, "must EVENTUALLY deal with"? Just go after them!
Card 086: X-Men Gold
The cardback makes the distinction that the Gold team is mostly OG X-Men & new recruits, though that's really just Bishop. If anything, the Blue Team is a better blend of "60/70s X-Men" & "80/90s X-Men".
Card 085: X-Men Blue
The placement of the signature box always makes me think Gambit has one of those little fancy waiter towels draped over his arm.
Wolverine smoking on the team card seems mildly surprising, even in '93.
Card 084: X-Force
While not as dynamic as the X-Factor card, this one probably captures the vib of the team better. The screaming Feral is a nice touch.
