I’m rewatching #ZNation and so many of the actors in it deserved to have substantial careers after it was cancelled. Keith Allan in particular is astounding as Murphy, a character that has to straddle the reluctant hero and villain role for the entire show

I really enjoyed the first season of #theLastOfUs , it seemed different and interesting. So far this season (2) I am not feeling it. I didn't play the game so I have no context, but the season seems to lack the spark of the first season. Ep 2 seemed like and unfunny episode of #ZNation to me. I'll hang in there for one more. Maybe this was just a long setup, but so far this season has me more often getting distracted by my phone.

I love that Roku has a Z Nation channel.

My favourite part about Z Nation is it’s one of the few zombie TV shows that realizes how ridiculous it is. Zombies are called “Zs“ or usually “puppies and kittens.“ in the second episode, Addy leaves her spiked baseball bat “Z whacker“ behind. But an explosion sends it flying into the head of a zombie attacking her. All throughout the show, it just realizes how ridiculous it is as a concept and leans into it. I’m not even mentioning the wheel of cheese. #ZNation

I've been watching some shows that aren't Star Trek.

Z Nation -- I saw it free on Tubi and CWTV (CWTV has a lot of commercials)

I've seen comparisons of this show to "The Walking Dead," but I've never seen TWD. I think Z Nation's first three seasons are good. A cast of interesting characters. It maintains a vibe that no character is safe. And, a lot of zombies.

The episodes and story arcs for the first three seasons are varying degrees of entertaining, but overall are good. I think season 4 goes off the rails, adding too much noise. There are so many possible stories in an ever evolving, post-zombie apocalypse world's societies that the arc in season 4 comes across as extraneous. I'm having a difficult time convincing myself to watch season 5.

Kudos to the cast, and for the stories, of the first three seasons. The effects are often more gross than fits my comfort level. The show has a self-awareness, with a mix of drama and some humor.

My rating: The first three seasons are good.

I saw Transmorphers and #TheTerminators one of them I didn't finish and I don't even care that I can't remember which. AFAIK the only thing #TheAsylum has put out worth watching was #ZNation. ZNation is goofy but not trash.
